The SCCSBA hosts a variety of events throughout the school year, including evening meetings with guest speakers, lunch & learn sessions, and networking breakfasts and lunches. We also host several signature one-time events each year, including the Annual Fall Dinner, Legislative Brunch, and Hoffmann Awards Dinner.

Annual Fall Dinner

All trustees and superintendents are invited for an evening on how artificial intelligence is reshaping the classroom — and the boardroom. Our special guest speaker, Ahmad Thomas, CEO of Silicon Valley Leadership Group, will share insights on the responsible development and deployment of AI in education and beyond, drawing on his work leading policy and industry engagement across Silicon Valley. We will also hear directly from a panel of high school students, who will share their own perspectives on how AI is shaping their education and their futures.
Monthly evening meetings include an update on SCCSBA activities, a presentation by the County Superintendent, and a presentation on a featured topic. All trustees and superintendents in Santa Clara County are invited to attend. A Zoom link and calendar invite will be shared prior to each meeting.

Lunch & Learn Meetings

Annual Hoffmann Awards Dinner

Each year the SCCSBA coordinates the Hoffmann Exemplary Award program where outstanding educational programs in Santa Clara County are honored. The awards are presented to the winners at a celebration dinner in May each year, along with a personalized video.
