About Jennifer Petroff

Jennifer Petroff is the current Santa Clara County School Boards Association (SCCSBA) treasurer. 

Jennifer has served on the Union School District Board of Trustees since 2016 which was a natural progression from her many years as an active volunteer in the schools and community. She has held multiple leadership positions including president of the school board, Home and School Club president, National Charity League Almaden Blossom Valley president and is a current board member of Bright Days Preschool.  Jennifer has also recently joined the SCCSBA Legislative Action Committee. 

Jennifer has worked for 30 years as a medical social worker in Home Health and Hospice advocating, educating and counseling patients and their support systems. She obtained her undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan. She has a License in Clinical Social Work. 

Jennifer’s roots are in the Bay Area. Her three children and husband went through the Union School District. She is a compassionate leader who is dedicated to providing an engaging, well rounded education for students, a supportive work environment and promoting community connections. She has a strong belief in the importance of lifelong learning, collaboration, and advocating for those who may not be able to advocate for themselves.
